Because our system uses electric current through total body fluid that permeates body tissue, it is recommended to keep baseline hydration status as consistent as possible. You will not need to fast or try to compensate hydration that deviates from your normal fluid intake. Recommendations to ensure precise measurements for fluid include:
Using the restroom before hand
Conducting assessments pre-workout (if possible)
Testing in similar baseline conditions i.e. post work out/pre work out, similar time of day (this will not affect hydration significantly)
Not conducting baseline assessments if you are ill or expecting to have any large fluid changes i.e. fluid weight cutting
Baseline hydration will be validated via total fluid in liters and BIVA chart.
